I Should Be In Class Right Now!

I'm not happy. As you know, one week after classes started, the faculty went on strike over a variety of issues. While I support that right I'll now admit to getting antsy about this semester. There are only so many classes scheduled and in 2 weeks I start my student teaching. I am now beginning to wonder if that will even take place! I'm trying to keep a positive attitude but it's getting tougher--especially when I'm not hearing about them even being back to the table! Okay, breathe in/breathe out :)

On another topic, I went to Stratford with my mom and brother this Saturday. It was a gorgeous day and there was lots going on. We walked around, did some shopping and just enjoyed the scenery. In case you don't know, Stratford, ON is world-renowned for it's Shakespeare theatre festival. I'll never forget being in Stratford, England and having someone from there tell me that they thought the Canadian one was nicer! I haven't been to a play in some years but they are incredible productions. If you're ever looking for a weekend trip GO!

As for the healthy me, YUCK! I've been slacking off the last few days and it's mostly because I'm not in school. So, today it's back to my schedule without the snacking!!!!!

And finally, HAPPY FIRST DAY OF AUTUMN! I hope you all had a great weekend and are able to enjoy some fine fall weather as I plan on doing :)

Happy Autumn to you. Sorry to hear about school. I would be beside myself. Sounds like a good time with your Mom and brother. Leaving the snacks alone and get out in the sunshine. Have a great day.

Too bad about the strike. I know how much you were looking forward to this whole school experience. I'm sure everything will work out eventually but... yuck.

I've been to the Stratford theatre. We went there on a field trip when I was in high school. I think we saw Much Ado About Nothing but I'm not 100% sure.

I deleted my blog. My weight loss came to a halt and then I gained 2 pounds almost a month ago which will not leave! About a week ago I found out that I'm a bit hypothyroid. I hope the medication kicks up my metabolism soon. I guess I should be glad it's just 2 pounds. If I gave up the calorie counting, it would be considerably more, I'm sure.

I hope everything gets sorted out soon, with school and with your eating and exercise.

You know I don't have a single picture of me at my biggest weight that shows anything other than my head. I always made sure I had someone's child sometimes more than one. HA! Maybe I'll post a picture when I hit the 100 lbs gone mark. Thanks for the visit and comment. Hope your school goes back soon.

OMG! I forgot that Monday was the first day of Autumn. I've been in denial here telling myself that summer wasn't over :-(

Autum is beautiful - no doubt about that. But I sure hate to see summer end....

I am still loving the look of your page...it is just so refreshing and pleasing. BTW, I started a new challenge and I changed the rules. Doing pretty much the same as last time with an exercise challenge as well :)

Hey there! how are you? have classes started yet? what a bummer! sometimes the "adult world" is so much like the "kid world" it's unreal. feel like you should just sit them down and say, "no one does ANYTHING until you guys figure this out in a way that's fair for everyone... no supper... no tv.... no bathroom... get it done!" oops! do i sound like a mom?!?!?

Hoping the strike is over..maybe it is due to that lack of recent postings. Good luck with student teaching! You'll do great. Looking forward to hearing about it. And..i am sure you are back in the HYC game..unlike me.
