Spring is in the Air!

It is beautiful here today! I just came back from a 50 minute walk and it was lovely. I always feel energized when the sun is out and I can get out there for some fresh air. I met up with a friend last night and we were both complaining about the weight we've put on since the summer. Honestly, why is this something I always have to deal with every 2 years? It's a biannual event!!!!

So, we're going to do this together. Journalling what we eat and exercise are all that we need to focus on to get this thing done. I plan on fitting into my things again this summer and finally learn how to keep it off over these long winter months. How about the rest of you? What's your spring fling wish?

Have You Got It?

Olympic fever that is! I like the summer olympics but am partial to the winter sports. It never ceases to amaze me what these incredible athletes are capable of. Hard work, talent, and practice are what has gotten them all to this point.

It made me think of the things we can all accomplish when we put our minds to the task. Stop with the excuses and just do it!

Hello Snow!

Well, I guess we had it coming! So far this winter, we had one little snow fall around Christmas (I don't even think I shovelled it because it melted soon after). But, what everyone out east has gotten has now come our way although they say we won't be hit with as much. It started this morning and hasn't stopped since! It should continue throughout the day and into the evening leaving us with approximately 8-10 inches but I think it will be more--at least on my driveway!--because of the drifting.

I've been doing so much better over the last little while. My eating and exercise are back on track and I started an online program that a friend recommended to me. Have any of you tried The Lord's Table? It puts the focus back on more important ways to "fill" yourself as opposed to all the CRAP! that's been going into me over the past few months!!! It's not enough just to lose the weight physically for me this time but rather to lose what's been weighing on my mind.

I feel lighter already! Hope that you're all well and enjoying some pleasant winter weather :)
