I Think I Feel Better? (I Spoke Too Soon)

Thanks for all the "get well" wishes. I'm not having pain that's as intense but it's still there. I'm so sick of just lying around though so I'm going to try to do a tiny bit more today.

The weather has been SOOO beautiful around here! I HATE not being able to get out there to go for a bike ride or putter around in my garden. I have just over a week until classes start and there is such a lot that needs to get done so please, wish me luck in my attempt to show my sinuses who's boss.

I hope that you're all having a great week and I'm going to try to visit you all throughout the day.

Thanks again!

*Well, it's Sunday and I still feel BLECCHH! I see my doctor on Wednesday and am hoping for some improvement.

Be careful, my friend. Show those sinuses who's boss, but don't let them kick back! They can be mighty mean when they're angry! :-)

I'm glad you are feeling better. Don't try to run.. I remember how I felt after my implant surgery and running.. Oh the pressure!

HEY, Glad your feeling like visiting but please do take care of yourself. If you had to deal with this infection, aren't you glad it was before classes started. Grace and blessings to you.

Glad to hear you're feeling better and that the sunshine will take away the remainder of the aches and pains!

OK, I apologize if this is long, but here's a couple of basic sinus pressure relief points:
-Directly underneath your eyes (ok, if you're like me, underneath the bags) you'll have the "ridge" that comes out from your nose out to your cheekbones. In a sweeping motion, take your index fingers and "sweep" from the nose to the outside, about to where your eyeball ends. Mild to moderate pressure, just lightly from inside to outside.
-Where you would "pinch" your nose? Go slightly outside of that on either eye and push up (towards the top of the head) and back (towards the back of the head. You should be around where the eyebrows start. This is a migraine trigger point.
-You can also go slightly more to the outside, just underneath the arch of the eyebrow (for most people). Use the flat portion of the side of the thumb and push lightly upward.

I usually do the bridge of the nose trigger point, followed by 10 sweeps along the facial sinuses (technique "1") followed by the pressure points underneath the eyebrows.

You can also do a migraine trigger point on the back of the head. Hold your hands in front of you, backs of hands facing you (so thumbs facing each other). Take this hand position and move your hands directly behind your head and place the thumbs in the "soft spot" underneath the skull, just above the hairline. Push up (top of head) and slightly forward (as if you were pushing your thumbs toward your eyes). You can also rub the tips of your thumbs in circles to help. This area, called your suboccipital region, can be quite tender but this pressure point can really help relieve a tough headache.

Hope these help...and let me know if you have any other questions!

Be careful! It'll be much better to wait till you're fully healed than to start doing too much too soon and end up right back where you were at the beginning!

Take care hun!

I am really behind on your doings as I didn't know you felt bad. I will catch up and am SO GLAD you feel better. Someone mentioned sinuses...have you tried the nette pot thing? I don't have sinus issues but we had used that to clean stuff out in the sinus /nasal area. We don't use the pot..but something similar. I hope you feel good. I know you **look** good..ms. skinny thing! XOXOXO..take it easy..k?

Just happened by and being a sinusitis victim more than once I just had to say: hang in there, be vocal and take good care of yourself. I hope this week is better...and I'll stop back again.
