Tuesday Check-In #5

Well, nothing exciting to report today. I'm still up that pesky pound and am really quite annoyed with myself. I allowed the bad weather and hormones to bring me down. I was pretty miserable for the better part of the weekend. I'm not prone to crying and feeling sorry for myself but that was my Sunday! SNAP OUT OF IT!!!!

Needless to say, I need to get my head straight and think about what's really important. I can't let the little things get to me. Never mind about the big things like, say, finding a job. I have to try to keep it together and look for the payoff at the end.

So, I'm off to the gym after an almost 2 week hiatus. The sun is shining and gliding class awaits. I hope that everyone else had a better week. If not, how do you deal with stress? I should do yoga but that requires getting my butt out the door :)

Yeahg, I am there too with the scale showing a gain of 1 pound. 5 days of not eating quite right and now I have my period...ick!

Next week will be a big loss. I can feel it.

Go to the gym, it will make you feel beter.

We need to have weeks like this. Don't worry, you'll snap out of it and be shining again. Some pounds just want to stick around don't they? Ugghhh, exercise, yep, that will do it. Have fun on the Yoga Mat!

I bought some yoga DVDs, but I've never gotten around to doing any of them. So, I'm not a good person to listen to on this one, but maybe you could rent some from the library and see if you like doing them at home. It sounds good in theory at least! :D

I've been doing my workouts at home, in front of the tv. Yoga doesn't take up too much space, and I tried it on Saturday for the first time. I'm still dubious about the whole spiritual aspect of it, but hey, may as well try having an open mind, shouldn't I?

I suffer from Manic Depressive Syndrome, and my biggest advice about being depressed is to just to take a deep breath and know that this too, shall pass. Sometimes things happen, or you say something or do something during that time that you wish you hadn't... and yet, soon enough it will be gone and forgotten.

Good for you for going to the gym. I bet that'll help your mood. It's soooo hard to go workout when down in the dumps, but it's one of the best mood-boosters around.

It sounds like you're going through some rough times, but it *will* get better. Go get some exercise and spend time in the sunshine and you'll believe me.

dont worry, that pound will come off, and Im sure your trip to the gym will help. Ive been having the same pound sticking around for weeks for me, so I know it can be frustrating, but hang in there and it will be gone.

Exercise helps. Take a walk. Reading other people's blogs. Working on my own. Listening to music. Reading a book. Talking to hubby. Not all at the same time.

Exercise is a great way to cope with stress. I hope you went to do Yoga yesterday.

We all go through those times when life just stinks but you just have to hang in there and use this time to work on improving your health so that when the opportunities come along, you'll feel wonderful and vibrant and it will show to everyone around you!

I love my yoga class and plan to start attending another one during the week.

Pooh on the one pound - but when it is only up a pound, I wouldn't fret.

Hope you have a great week.
