Does anyone have some time they can spare? I'm swamped with lesson plans and activities and have no time to just sit and think about exercise! All the best intentions have just been swept away with lack of time and some not so great health. My left ear (same side as the sinus that needs to be drained) has been plugged up since Saturday and has been popping constantly all day--it's like being inside a bubble!
Along with the spare time, does anyone have tips for taking care of popping ears? Chewing gum irritates my jaw and I doubt that it would work anyway. I just don't want to bust an eardrum by doing the old hold your nose and breathe with the mouth closed (I've tried--it doesn't work!)
By the way, thanks for sharing some of your goals with me. It always gets me more motivated :)

Sorry...not much spare time here. Too busy preparing for the holidays. Hope you feel better soon :)
Manuela, even 10-15 minutes of movement can help. Why not walk up to Tecumseh Rd & back just to clear the stress a little.
BTW, I love the winter scene & the beautiful pic of the Christmas ornaments AND your blog background. It's so festive around here!
I have no advice for ears, sorry:(
From having too much time on my hands a while ago, I seem to have no time to spare these days!
As for the ears and sinuses, the best thing you can do is eliminate dairy. You'll be amazed!
Love the picture!
This time of year is so busy. I wish I could loan you some spare time but I seem to be running short on it right now as well. Hope you fell better soon.
I don't think too many of us have much spare time these days! lol I don't work outside the home and I've been running around like a chicken without a head trying to get everything done for Christmas...I can well imagine how it would be if I did have a job! Sheesh!
I hate having blocked ears...have you tried taking a decongestant? That helps to shrink the internal membranes in your ears. Hope it's better soon!! xoxo
So I'm not the only one slammed with real life these days? Must be something in the air!
I don't know if this is medically sound advice, but I periodically rinse my ear canal with hydrogen peroxide. Pour a dab in, let it fizzle, then let it drain out. I use a tissue on the inside of my ear to wipe away what doesn't drain. All this does, I think, is dislodge any ear wax buildup, which lets those whatchallit tubes function more normally.
Seriously ... in the era of modern technology ... you would have thought that someone would invent a time stopper thingy by now! I have no clue how to get it all done! :)
no spare time here either...and no earsolutions.
you get any good ones? Im tired of holding nose and trying to 'blow'
Sorry that you're not feeling well. Unfortunately no suggestions about the ear. :(
Just wanted to check up on you. Found any extra time?
I don't have any suggestions about the ear but I do agree with leaving out the dairy. Maybe try drinking hot tea? The blowing/holding nose thing is not a good idea (even though it works). :)
If I had extra time, I would surely share some with you. Wouldn't it be nice if it worked that way. As for your popping ears, when mine do that I just have to wait until the sinuses clear. Hope your better soon. Trying to get lesson plans and activities together would be chore enough when your feeling great. Hang in there my friend.
