Happy Friday!

Well, I was extremely sore when I got up this morning. Every muscle in my was screaming with pain, especially my inner thighs and upper body. Is it really true that there is no gain without pain? We'll see.

My exercise calendar said that today would be a day of rest but it was so beautiful and sunny outside that I decided to go for a walk by the river. The first picture is of me (shadow only!) and the second is of those pesky Canadian geese taking off when they saw my approach.

Take advantage of every nice day for tomorrow it may snow one more time.

It definitely is beautiful. I don't have to worry about snow here. Wish I had some place as pretty as that to walk.

My body hears ya. I cleaned the garage yesterday and trust me that was a huge overhaul and every muscle in my body is aching (especially in the legs).

Friday was better than my weekend! I had to deal with something that made my wanting to exercise pretty much a non-issue.

Thanks for the well wishes!

This is one of my favourite places to walk Manuela...it's nice to see that they cleared the snow on the path. In the other seasons you really have to avoid the goose poop though.
Is everything ok?

Snow is evil! hahaha I moved to get away from the snow and now I'm in South Carolina. :)

I would love to get around the pain thing! Some days it's easier and other days it's like I'm back at square one again. :( (today is one of those days) Maybe soak in a hot bath? That might help. And eat a banana every day for the potassium. (prevents muscle cramping, so they tell me)

You're right about bananas and potassium. I've heard the same thing. I usually can't eat bananas because they give me heartburn--anyone else have that problem? I can eat them in banana bread (haha--my favourite recipe is sinful) but a healthier choice are smoothies. I think I should make one now!

Manuela, I came back here to talk about those fried everythings at the fair and noticed you said you got heartburn from bananas. Me too!!! Everyone tends to look at me strange when I tell them that. At least now I know I am not the only one...wish I knew why though.

As for the fried foods at the fair...if you can fry it they will. We even saw signs for fried pepsi. Now, how the heck do you fry pepsi? But there was fried potatoes, twinkies, candy bars, oreos, onions, cheesecake...who knows what else.
